1 Description

1.1 Product Description

The smart street light gateway is the core edge communication hub equipment for the urban smart lamp networking system, specially designed for integrated smart street light scenarios. It connects downward to peripheral terminals including single lamp controllers, tilt sensors, water immersion sensors, illuminance sensors and vehicle & pedestrian detection devices, and uplinks to the cloud smart lighting management platform.

Adopting industrial high-performance architecture, the device supports multi-protocol compatible interconnection and multi-link redundant communication. It realizes full-scenario functions including remote street lamp control, data collection & upload, intelligent fault alarm, local edge computing and remote online maintenance. It adapts to harsh outdoor working conditions, ensures 7×24-hour stable uninterrupted operation of urban smart lighting and IoT perception services, and assists refined road lighting management, urban IoT networking, energy conservation and digital management of municipal intelligent affairs.

5 Interface Definition & Wiring Instructions

5.1 Interface Function Definition

Ethernet Ports: Gigabit + Fast Ethernet for wired networking and cascading of subordinate lamp control devices

SFP Fiber Port: Long-distance optical fiber transmission, adapting to long-distance main road street lamp networking

RS485 Serial Ports: Data interaction and collection for serial sensors and single lamp controllers

Dimming Ports: Docking 0-10V/PWM dimming circuits of lamp drivers to realize remote intelligent brightness adjustment

5.2 Wiring Notes

Strictly distinguish AC and DC power interfaces. Never connect 220V AC to DC circuits to avoid equipment burnout.

RS485 serial ports have positive and negative polarities, reverse connection will cause communication failure.

Do not short-circuit dimming interfaces, confirm dimming mode matching between gateway and lamp drivers before wiring.

Conduct waterproof and insulation treatment for outdoor wiring, separate strong and weak cables to avoid signal interference.

Install antennas away from high-voltage circuits to ensure stable 4G & WiFi wireless signal transmission.

6 Installation & Operation Requirements

Install the device in the weak current cabin inside street lamp poles, in dry, well-ventilated positions without water accumulation and strong electromagnetic interference.

Fix the device firmly to prevent cable falling off and interface loosening caused by outdoor vibration.

Comply with national low-voltage electrical safety specifications, separate strong and weak wiring and complete reliable grounding protection.

Do not disassemble or open the metal gateway shell privately, to prevent internal components from dampness, dust ingress and damage.

Do not operate the device beyond rated temperature and humidity range, avoid damage caused by condensation, extreme high temperature exposure or low temperature freezing.

All parameter debugging and configuration must be operated by professional electrical & IoT technicians, non-professionals are prohibited from modifying gateway settings randomly.

7 Warranty & Disclaimer Clauses

Our company will not bear warranty and compensation liability for equipment failure and abnormal operation caused by non-standard operation, private disassembly & modification by non-professionals, mismatched load connection and illegal wiring.

The whole-machine original warranty will become invalid immediately once the metal device shell is opened privately.

Equipment damage caused by force majeure including natural disasters, lightning strikes, power grid surges and artificial external damage is not covered by free warranty.
